my blood is singing with your voice

Castiel learns quickly that Dean's right, and he ought to explore his sexuality and start seeing people, and by people he means the one person that he's had contact with in any kind of romantic way. And even then it was endorsed by Dean.

Castiel does like Bradley, though. He's different from Dean, but still kind and patient. They do very similar things to what he and Dean do together; they go out to eat and see movies, for example, and they watch TV on the couch together. Even though he still prefers Dean, he likes Bradley's company; he likes having another friend. Though he'd been happy with Dean, he can see now how only having Dean for companionship might become lonely, especially since Castiel spends so much of his time on his own with Winston. He's used to having far more contact with others than he's had of late.

He's unsure if there's a romantic spark between the two of them, but they've held hands; that's a pleasant custom. And when they sit on the couch, Bradley holds him and it skips being confusing or unsettling and goes right to being comforting. They haven't done anything more than that, though they have talked about it, and that's where Castiel thinks that conversation is part of the reason their relationship is still platonic.

Bradley knows things that Dean doesn't too, particularly when it comes to being with men. When Castiel reveals that he's never been with a man before and he's only beginning to explore this aspect of his personality (he conveniently leaves out that he hasn't been with a woman either, as he's gathered it's unusual), Bradley explains things to him and even suggests he read a few books that would help. What Castiel likes in particular is that Bradley urges him to figure things out on his own first, to explore and find what he likes personally before he tries to start anything with anyone else.

So Castiel has. He has a lot of time during the day while Dean's away to do as both Bradley and the book suggest, and he's moved on to the chapter that gives instructions on how best to prepare for anal sex. He wouldn't bother with it at all if it didn't say that preparation on one's own is important to prepare the body, and Castiel thinks it's better to be prepared than not. He may not even like penetration after all.

He likes penetration. It takes some practice, but he finds it quite enjoyable, and he tells Bradley as much. This is where he's sure there's nothing really romantic between them because Bradley laughs, ruffles Castiel's hair, and tells him to put his coat back on. He takes Castiel to a sex paraphernalia store and helps him to pick out things that Castiel's sure Dean wouldn't really like to see lying around, so he hides them, and he only feels a little bit guilty about using them while on Dean's bed. It's not like Dean ever has to find out. Besides, he would probably endorse Castiel enjoying himself like this, right?

Though he uses the bed for the space, being surrounded by Dean's scent is an added bonus, and he inhales deeply now. His eyes are closed so he can better focus on both Dean's smell and the feel of the toy Bradley suggested, very quiet (not that Castiel would use it with Dean in the house) and good for a beginner. Castiel has no complaints about it.

It's settled in now, and so he's growing hard again, cock resting against his stomach, and he's going slowly because he has all afternoon anyway, and he's really come to enjoy these... sessions with an intensity he hadn't been able to predict. He moans softly to himself and takes his cock in hand, working it in time with the toy. His movements are still erratic, but more coordinated than they were before. He has to admit, though, that he's becoming less concerned with benchmarks of improvement. Now he's more interested in the pleasure.
